Text by Elliot James, SCORE magazine I was actually at the Key Largo house when this shoot was done, although I didn’t observe it in action. (I think I was outside talking to Lorna Morgan.) In my opinion, when a photographer is shooting a model, there needs to be a minimum of onlookers, when at all possible. As a shoot progresses and becomes more intense, a rhythm and an end goal build up, almost like a song, a book or a movie, and the distractions of extra eyes in the room can impact the mood. Chloe actually doesn’t mind onlookers if she knows them or they’re part of the staff. Be that as it may, I’ve always tended to not be a “shoot sitter,” unless it’s outdoors, like on a Boob Cruise. Using this pool table was a clever idea. It’s a “prop” you don’t see enough of in pictorials. The cue and the balls have that obvious, clear-cut sexual symbolism and the table — well, it’s great for a model to stretch out on. A lot of changes have occurred in men’s magazine photography and I believe much of it is the result of the Internet. When I first started out with men’s magazines, there was no Internet. Magazine pictorials tended to be shot ‘flat,’ almost like a stage play. The cameraman didn’t move much as the model went through her standard paces and poses. Today, the camera’s a restless, voyeuristic beast, with wild angles and extreme close-ups. The camera’s becoming the guy at home, making us the man in the room. As a result, everything’s a lot hornier, more intimate and much more exciting. Guys who have just become of age to look at adult material and stick to the Net have no reference of comparison, unless they collect back issue magazines and see how it was done then. Some of my favorite shots here: Photo 65 of Chloe squeezing her tits. In 1600 X 1200 size, this shot is beyond imagination. Photo 62 always reminds me how much some women, especially Chloe, passionately love their own boobs. I’m a sucker for boob novelty shots so photos 67 and 68 were extra enjoyable, and Chloe’s expression in photo 67 fascinates me to no end. Two more shots I’m crazy about are 77 and 78 — I love the directly overhead stuff and how her incredible knockers naturally position themselves. It’s impossible to get this with a SCORE model who’s got huge implants. She’d have to palm them in some way. And #92 and #93 of her bushy butt cleavage are real pleading ‘Fuck me, daddy’ shots. Yes, things have changed a lot since I was a teenager whacking off to a hot photo spread in a magazine.-Elliot James, Scoreland
